2006 had been a bountiful year for all of you. with the china trip followed by a change in leadership personnel and also to the shifting from tg rhu to mt. sinai. it had certainly been a busy year for guanyue but i am very happy to say that throughout this year, i have seen many of you matured psychologically and also music wise. the strong bonds that were forged in china were brought back to singapore and you all developed further and i can see the cohesiveness amongst the sec 2s and 3s.
this is certainly good news because you all will be the batch that are going into syf next year and by starting to peak now, it shows that there is a lot of hope for DHSCO next year as guanyue is certainly the most important yuezu! gone were the days when the conductor complained that dizis were not pitch-perfect. gone were the days when shengs were off tempo. gone were the days when suonas were just a pain to the ears. i am very happy to say that everything is on the right track now and i just hope that you all can keep up the good work and sustain the ongoing momentum.
by doing so, you all will have to fully cooperate with ur instrumental leaders who, i'm sure, are very cooperative of the zuzhang. this is very crucial! and also try to encourage those people who keep ponning CO to just come cuz they are missing out on a whole lot of fun. i can say that i'm actually very happy to go back to DHS to see you all having fun at practice and it is definitely a stark difference from what it had been at the start of this year.
now, the shengs are getting commended every other week in practice. now, no one is complaining about the dizis' pitching. now, i've heard people all over saying the suonas have improved. keep up the good work and i'm sure you all will be rewarded.
towards gold with honours we shall aim,
and with hard work, that's what we'll claim!
ALL THE WAY GUANYUE!!!
